How Greystone Derby Day Benefits VOPA:
By participating in Derby Day, you are DIRECTLY supporting Veterans Outreach of PA (VOPA’s) Veteran’s Grove featuring their 15 Tiny Homes and the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation Patriots Place Community Center in Harrisburg, Pa. Proceeds from Derby Day will help combat homelessness with VOPA as they finish building the tiny home community to support veterans. Funding will help VOPA provide access to housing, healthcare, wellness, education, employment, and countless other services, as well as their next phase of operation.
“The Derby Day Committee is Honored and Humbled to be part of this Great event. We are Teaming to Win for our Veterans,” Michael Glaser, Event Co-Chair added.
VOPA Co-founder and Chairman, Tom Zimmerman said, “We are truly filled with gratitude for the generous support and funding Greystone Derby Day provides to us for our mission to finish building and operating our 15 Tiny Homes and the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation Patriots Place Community Center for veterans who are currently without shelter. We appreciate everyone who attends Derby Day and all who are involved. This year’s Greystone Derby Day proceeds will help us enormously as we transition into our next phase of operations for our veterans. We continue to witness a phenomenal spirit of giving throughout this Region that overwhelms us with gratitude.”
